Xi'an is the home of China's imperial history. The city is best known for the nearby Terracotta Warriors, considered the greatest archaeological find of the 20th century. Xi'an also has a long history of cultural exchange with the Middle East, the results of which you can still see today in the city's thriving Muslim Quarter.


Days 1: Xian

Upon arrival meet your guide and transfer on a comfortable private car directly to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your disposal to relax or explore on your own.

Day 2: Xian

Terracotta Warriors, City Wall and Muslim Quarter

The Terracotta Army is a collection of ancient statues dating back to the year 210 BCE when Qin Shi Huang ruled as China’s first emperor. Over 8,000 statues depict Qin Shi Huang’s personal army and were buried in his mausoleum where it was believed they would follow him to the afterlife. This incredible collection of intricately carved statues remains one of the greatest historical discoveries of the 20th century. Back in Xian, enjoy lunch in a local restaurant, then climb the ancient city wall for spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. A final stop will be made at the Muslim Quarter to see the many street vendors and try more of the local food.   (Breakfast & Lunch)

Day 3: Xian

Wild Goose Pagoda

Start your day with a visit to the Wild Goose Pagoda, its tiered layers making it a beautiful example of traditional Chinese architecture. If you are continuing from Beijing by train, a transfer to the train station is included, or spend the rest of the day at leisure.   (Breakfast)
